Supriya and I had been wanting to take a beach vacation for a while, and when we heard about Goa’s beautiful beaches and laid-back atmosphere, we knew it was the perfect destination. After some research and planning, we decided to spend last week of 2019 in Goa at the new year season and meet great party people.
We flew into Goa’s Dabolim Airport and took a taxi to our hotel in Candolim, which was located just a few minutes from the beach. As soon as we arrived, we were struck by the laid-back vibe of the place. Everyone seemed to be in vacation mode, and the sun was shining brightly.
During our stay, we spent most of our days lounging on the beach, soaking up the sun, and swimming in the warm waters of the Arabian Sea. We also took a few day trips to nearby beaches and villages, such as Calangute and Anjuna. These trips gave us a chance to see more of the local culture and try some delicious Goan seafood.
One of our favorite activities was visiting the Saturday Night Market in Arpora, where we browsed stalls selling everything from handmade jewelry to fresh produce. We also enjoyed trying out different restaurants and bars, and were particularly impressed by the seafood at Fisherman’s Wharf and the cocktails at Victor’s.
We stayed in a small but comfortable hotel in Candolim, which had a pool and a friendly staff. The location was perfect for us, as it was close to the beach and to the main strip of restaurants and shops.
Overall, our trip to Goa was a wonderful experience. The laid-back atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and delicious food made it the perfect destination for a couple’s getaway.
