Last year, I had the opportunity to build a team. I was excited about the challenge, and I thought I had all the right ingredients: experience, knowledge, and freshness. But I missed one important thing: attitude.

I thought that if I had a team of experienced and knowledgeable people, they would be able to overcome any challenge. But I was wrong.

I’m generalizing here, but in my experience, most people work for money. I understand that money is important, but it’s not the only thing that matters. When you’re young, you should focus on learning, not earning. You’re a fresher, so you have to prove yourself before you demand anything.

I failed to justify this to my team. I didn’t explain to them that the most important thing is to learn and grow, not to get paid. As a result, they only wanted to take on challenges if they were getting paid for it. And they wanted to be paid well.

I lost my team because I failed to justify my position. I’m now much more careful about this. When I’m building a team, I look for people who are passionate about their work and who are eager to learn. I also make sure to explain to them that the most important thing is to learn and grow, not to get paid.

Here are some lessons I learned from my experience:

  • Attitude is more important than experience, knowledge, and freshness. When building a team, look for people who are positive, motivated, and eager to learn.
  • It’s important to justify your position to your team. Explain to them why they should be working for you and what they can expect to gain from the experience.
  • Don’t be afraid to challenge your team. Once you’ve built a team with a good attitude, don’t be afraid to challenge them and give them opportunities to grow.

Building a good team takes time and effort, but it’s worth it. A good team can accomplish anything.
